A 40ft new high cube open side shipping container w/ center post — also called a 40-foot open-side conex with center post — is a one-trip steel unit for sale combining full bi-fold side access with a structural center post for added strength and security. Side doors split into two sections around the center post, ideal for partial loading, retail displays, and sectioned storage layouts.
Why retain a center post? The structural center post in the side opening adds rigidity and security compared to a fully open side wall, while still providing bi-fold side access in two sections plus standard rear double cargo doors. New one-trip Corten steel with 9'6" high cube clearance and ISO certification arrives near-pristine with a 10-year structural warranty.
Ideal for retail pop-up displays, sectioned inventory staging, mobile showrooms, event merchandising, and logistics operations that need side access without sacrificing mid-wall structural support across a 40-foot span.
Best when no unloading equipment is available. The driver backs into position, tilts the trailer, and slides the container directly onto the ground.
Best when a forklift or crane is available on-site. The container must be lifted off the trailer using a forklift rated for at least 15,000 lb or an appropriate crane. Conexwest can help coordinate additional placement equipment when needed.
