A 20ft used open top soft roof shipping container — also called a 20-foot soft-top open conex box — is a budget steel unit for sale designed for top-loaded cargo that cannot fit through standard doors. The removable bow system and weatherproof tarpaulin cover allow crane and forklift loading of machinery, bulk materials, and oversized freight.
What is a soft-top open container? Steel walls and marine-grade flooring provide structural strength while the flexible tarp roof opens for vertical access, then reseals for weather protection. Used units are inspected for structural integrity, wind- and water-tight condition, and secure lashing points, with honest cosmetic wear from prior service.
Ideal for scrap and recycling yards, construction debris, tall machinery staging, agricultural bulk storage, and export cargo requiring overhead loading. Standard cargo doors on one end add end-access flexibility alongside top loading.
Best when no unloading equipment is available. The driver backs into position, tilts the trailer, and slides the container directly onto the ground.
Best when a forklift or crane is available on-site. The container must be lifted off the trailer using a forklift rated for at least 15,000 lb or an appropriate crane. Conexwest can help coordinate additional placement equipment when needed.

Container Warranty
The container shell, including the structural frame, walls, floor, and doors, is backed by a 5-year limited structural warranty.
The soft top tarp and bows are included in the sale, but not covered under warranty due to wear from use and exposure.
Warranty Details
Cosmetic wear such as dents, surface rust, or prior shipping line markings is expected and not covered.
Damage due to misuse, extreme weather, or improper handling is excluded.
