A 20ft new open side shipping container — also called a full-side access container or side-opening conex box — is a factory-fresh steel unit you own outright with bi-folding doors along one full side for loading wide, tall, or frequently accessed cargo. Standard end-door containers cannot match the loading efficiency of full-length side access.
What makes open side different? Built from corrosion-resistant Corten steel to ISO standards, this one-trip container has made only a single transit and arrives in excellent condition. It retains full cargo doors on one end plus the full-side opening — versatile access for pallets, furniture, machinery, and inventory that needs regular rotation.
Ideal for retail stockrooms, event equipment staging, warehouse cross-docking, construction material access, and any workflow where drive-up side loading saves time. Best when no unloading equipment is available. The driver backs into position, tilts the trailer, and slides the container directly onto the ground.
Best when a forklift or crane is available on-site. The container must be lifted off the trailer using a forklift rated for at least 15,000 lb or an appropriate crane. Conexwest can help coordinate additional placement equipment when needed.

Container Warranty
The container shell, including side doors, end doors, frame, walls, and floor, is covered by a 10-year limited structural warranty.
This includes protection against defects in materials and construction under standard ground storage use.
Warranty Details
Minor cosmetic imperfections from transport (such as paint rubs or surface marks) are not covered.
Damage caused by improper use, modifications, or environmental events is excluded.
