A 20ft conjoined shipping container — also called a double-wide container or side-by-side conex pair — is a modular steel unit formed by joining two 20-foot containers with removed interior side walls to create one continuous open space. You get extra width for workshops and wide layouts while keeping a compact 20ft exterior length.
Choose your container condition (new one-trip or used) when ordering; new one-trip shells come with a 10-year structural warranty. The unit is designed for on-site assembly by the customer or installation by our team upon delivery.
Ideal for wide workshop layouts, open-plan storage, office conversions needing lateral space, and mobile modular builds on space-constrained job sites. The conjoined format is the defining advantage — nearly double the usable width without doubling the length. Fabrication is performed on in-stock containers, giving you secure steel storage on a timeline that matches project deadlines without waiting on custom lead times.

We offer two types of trucks for container delivery:
Best when no unloading equipment is available. The driver backs into position, tilts the trailer, and slides the container directly onto the ground.
Best when a forklift or crane is available on-site. The container must be lifted off the trailer using a forklift rated for at least 15,000 lb or an appropriate crane. Conexwest can help coordinate additional placement equipment when needed.

Containers can usually be placed directly on a solid, level surface without a foundation. Let us know in advance if the site is wet, muddy, soft, sloped, or difficult to access.
