A 40ft insulated shipping container is a climate-controlled steel storage unit for sale engineered from a retired refrigerated container shell with industrial-grade insulation and a 24,000 BTU Friedrich air conditioning system. It delivers adjustable cooling without the complexity and cost of full refrigeration machinery — ideal when you need temperature management, not deep freezing.
What is an insulated container with A/C? The original reefer insulation lining remains intact while commercial refrigeration components are replaced with efficient air conditioning for moderate cold storage and climate-controlled staging. Refurbished Corten steel construction is wind- and water-tight with a 5-year structural warranty.
Ideal for food and beverage staging, pharmaceutical storage requiring stable cool temperatures, equipment protection, floral and produce holding, and warehouse overflow where ambient heat would damage goods. A practical middle ground between ambient storage and full refrigerated containers.
Best when no unloading equipment is available. The driver backs into position, tilts the trailer, and slides the container directly onto the ground.
Best when a forklift or crane is available on-site. The container must be lifted off the trailer using a forklift rated for at least 15,000 lb or an appropriate crane. Conexwest can help coordinate additional placement equipment when needed.
