Off-Grid Solar Container Systems
Conexwest developed a family of solar-powered container solutions for remote job sites, emergency operations, EV charging, equipment storage, and other locations where a permanent grid connection was unavailable or impractical.
The projects included several configurations, from a compact 10ft energy unit to a finished 20ft solar office and larger off-grid builds. Each system combined solar generation, battery storage, electrical distribution, climate control, and custom interior features around the needs of the project.

Client’s Request
The projects required container systems capable of:
• Operating without permanent grid power
• Supporting lighting, receptacles, HVAC, and equipment
• Storing power for overnight and cloudy-day use
• Protecting batteries and electrical components
• Adapting to different container sizes and site conditions
• Supporting remote offices, EV charging, and emergency operations
The systems needed to function as complete off-grid workspaces, not simply containers with solar panels added to the roof.

The Conexwest Solution
Conexwest developed four related solar-powered container builds around a shared off-grid platform.
Each configuration was designed around its expected power load, with solar panels, lithium battery storage, inverters, charge controllers, electrical systems, insulation, and climate control sized for the intended use.
The finished build included:

• Roof-mounted solar-panel systems
• Reinforced structural mounting rails
• Multiple 48V lithium batteries
• Pure sine wave inverters
• Digital charge monitoring
• Full interior electrical packages
• Wall-mounted or mini-split HVAC

• Optional access steps and handrails
• Dedicated 240V output for EV charging
